With great sorrow and grief, I received the news that my respected uncle, the elder brother and right hand of the servant of the Qur’an, Hazrat Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Vastanvi (May Allah protect him), the lover of the Quran, the first teacher of Jamia and the great educator, who in this dark age of tribulations performed the duty of unparalleled training of the present generation of the Ummah for half a century with his sacrifices day and night, since the foundation of Jamia to the fruitful and vigorous tree, passed away today in the morning at 7:30 on Friday.
He was devoted with sincerity and honesty to Allah and rendered his great services to the glorious Quran for his whole life.
Allah Almighty had blessed him with the honour of great acceptance.
Today, on Friday morning, at 7:30, he breathed his last and left the mortal world for heavenly abode leaving behind millions of lovers in deep grief and sorrow.
Namaz-e-Janaza was held at 3 p.m. after Juma Prayer.
